A doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and emotional support to both mother and her partner who is expecting, experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. Their purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience. Doulas have the ability to provide comfort with pain-relief techniques including breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, massage, and laboring positions. Emily, a devoted birth doula trained through Dona International since late 2022, has been a source of comfort and strength for families throughout their pregnancy journey since 2018. Her unwavering commitment is to empower each family in finding their perfect support system, tailored to their unique needs. Emily is also experienced in placental encapsulation for interested families. She recognizes the vital importance of addressing mental, emotional, and physical health within a care team. As she works towards her PhD in Psychology, Emily envisions providing supportive counseling to families at any stage, fostering a sense of hope and resilience. With her compassionate and empathetic nature, she strives to ensure every family feels heard and supported, creating a truly transformative experience. Birth Doula Services
Doula services include assisting women in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. I draw upon my knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort, and assist you, the client, with information to make informed decisions as their arise in labor.

Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the mother’s placenta after the birth of her baby (or babies) by dehydrating the placenta and grinding the placenta into powder which is then placed into capsules for ingestion by the mother. The ingestion of the placenta is known as “placentophagy”.
